[saveenterprise] Chocolate Math

Hail Warriors,

I intercepted this forwarded transmission from the Star Trek Independent Fleet. It's GREAT! Pass it on!

Keela (chocolate lover) and . . . yes, it gave me my correct age!

Subject: Fwd: Chocolate Math

This is actually freakkin' cool. And whether you believe it or not, it WILL work! Be warned...get a calculator.

Gary

YOUR AGE

BY CHOCOLATE MATH

Don't tell me your age; you'd probably lie anyway-but the Hershey Man will know!

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 ..
If you haven't, add 1758..

6... Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

Chocolate

Calculator.

[saveenterprise] Fw: [KAGlistserve] Star Trek in the Park

RED ALERT! Anyone here in Portland? Here's something you might want to know about!

If you are in the Portland Oregon area any weekend in July be sure to take in a LIVE performance of the TOS episode "Amok Time". Real people performing Star Trek as live theater in a city park. Bring a picnic lunch and get your Trek on.

Portland Theater: (Star) Trek In The Park | July 11-26
July 9, 2009 — PDXPIPELINE

Posted by Kristen Imes
Playing it by (Vulcan) ear

Spock Pon Farr For the first time in my life I watched Star Trek a few nights ago while at The Nest. Not like I had really been consciously avoiding it all these years, but just completely disinterested. Or maybe it was just all the hype. I mean, when movies are made about "the universe's most fervent fans" (Trekkies), it makes me a little skeptical… (but then again, how good was Heavy Metal Parking Lot?) But after seeing Star Trek, I think almost understand. Lifelong fan or not, there is no way I am missing Trek in the Park.

Atomic Arts' Trek in the Park is a free, live, theater performance of the Star Trek episode "Amok Time" at the Woodlawn Park amphitheater. Witness Spock undergo the bizarre and brutal Vulcan marriage ritual of Pon Farr as the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise attempt to save him before it's too late! Portland actors accompanied with live music and effects bring this classic piece of television to life! Spend a day in the park, bring a picnic, and BOLDLY GO!!

Trek in the Park
July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 @ 5 pm

Maybe these below could do with the work.
Richard Dean Anderson - not much tv / movie work after SG1
Ben Browdler - ditto
Bruce Boxleitner - even did a movie for those crazy guys at The Asylum.

[saveenterprise] Re: Syzygy Studios

Neat. There were a few items on episode 4 that I hadn't heard about.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon: The Musical ? ! ? ! ?

Now that could work. If they can get some catchy tunes like Planet of the Apes: The Musical, they could be onto a winner . . . Rock me Dr Zaius, Dr Zaius . . . . .

Welcome to Mike Quebec! First I thought he was someone from Quebec by the SN.

I didn't like Boston Legal, and never saw any of the other programs Shatner was in.
